Bikepacking Trips & Expeditions
Our trips and expeditions are multi-day epics for women, non-binary and trans people with a bit of experience on the bike who want to adventure that that little bit further. Our trips vary in challenge and wildness, so you can find the one that’s right for you.
You’ll often be carrying your life on your bike for a few days as you explore specially curated mixed-terrain routes that take us through beautiful landscapes and new cultures in both in the UK and abroad. We’ll sort out the routes, accommodation and often most of the grub too. You focus on enjoying the ride.
Who is it for?
Folks who want a longer adventure, exploring wild places with a great group of folks.
Each trip is different. Some are perfect for people who want to focus on the cultural experiences, others like our WILDER series are for folks who love big days in the saddle. We generally recommend a bit of off-road riding experience before the trip.
We’ll give a clear indication of riding difficulty/terrain for each separate trip, so you can decide if it’s right for you.
What type of riding?
These trips will be mixed terrain, seeking to focus on finding the great gravel and off-road routes that each place has to offer.
They’ll be a combination of curated Sisters In The Wild routes and established bike packing routes, and the support approach will vary depending on trip.
Expect to ride somewhere between 30 and 60 miles per day on our standard trips, and more on our WILDER series Each trip itinerary will give you more details on the mix of on/off-road,and the length of days.
What kit do I need?
Some trips will be fully supported, with bike hire and gear transfer included, and on others we’ll be riding our own bikes and carrying all our own gear - true bikepacking style!
Where needed, we’ll have navigation devices, bikepacking bags and camping gear available to loan.
Accommodation will vary depending on the trip, with most having a variety of camping, glamping, hostels and guesthouses across the trip.
