Terms and Conditions – Bikepacking Bursary Competition

1. Eligibility

● Prize winning is open to anyone who identifies as a woman, non-binary, or person

of another marginalised gender.

● Applicants must be aged 18+, and a UK resident.

● Employees, ambassadors, or contractors of Sisters in the Wild, and their immediate

families and partners, are not eligible

2. Entry

● Applications accepted via the official form only

● You may nominate yourself or nominate someone else who fits the eligibility

criteria

● Entries must be received between 1 Sept and 10 Sept 2025 (23:59 GMT)

● Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted

3. Selection

● Entries will be reviewed by a panel from Sisters in the Wild

● Selection will be based on:

○ Alignment with the bursary’s aim (encouraging more women, non-binary, and

folks from marginalised genders into bikepacking)

○ Demonstrated enthusiasm and potential benefit from participation

○ We will select a shortlist of finalists that meet the bursary’s aim, and then pick

at random from this list.

● The decision of the panel is final; no correspondence will be entered into

4. Prizes

● Sisters in the Wild - 1 x Intro to Bikepacking Weekender ticket to be redeemed

before 15 September 2026

● Ortleib - Bikepacking bags worth up to £400

○ The packs can be swapped with the following to suit the riders set up:

■ Seat Pack QR can be swapped for a Seat Pack 11L or 16.5L.

■ The Handlebar Flex can be swapped for the Handlebar Pack QR if the

rider has narrow drop bars.

■ No cash or alternatives. UK shipping only.

■ The products cannot be returned, the usual 5-year warranty applies.

○ The winner will need to have to have a home address in any of these

countries: UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria.

● Genesis - bike loan

○ 1x Croix de Fer for a period of 6 months

○ Any component damage is the winner’s responsibility to replace/repair

○ Winner must take responsibility to clean and maintain the bicycle

○ Bike will be fully built and PDI checked delivered to their chosen UK address

○ We can arrange collection

● 1:2:1 Mentoring from SITW mentors

○ 3 hours of 1:1 mentoring phone calls with SITW team

○ Calls scheduled at a time convenient to both recipient and mentor

○ Mentor TBC depending on Intro to Bikepacking trip selected

● Prizes are non-transferable, may not be exchanged for cash, and Sisters in the Wild

and competition partners reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal value if

necessary.

5. Notification

● Winner will be notified before email by 15 Sept 2025

● If a winner does not respond within 5 days, Sisters in the Wild reserves the right to

select an alternative winner

● If the winner has been nominated by someone else, it is the responsibility of the

nominator to put us in touch with the winner within 5 days

6. Publicity

● By entering, you agree that Sisters in the Wild may use your nomination and any

submitted content for promotional purposes (social media, website, press) in relation

to the bursary

● Winners will be asked to share a short story/testimonial after the event, for use on

Sisters in the Wild and supporting partners channels

● Sisters in the Wild will require the winner to consent to photography, testimony and

video of them to be used on all promotional channels

7. Data Protection

● Personal data will only be used for the administration of the competition and delivery

of the prize

● Data will be shared with competition partners for the purpose of fulfilling prizes

8. General

● Sisters in the Wild reserves the right to amend or withdraw the bursary if

circumstances make it unavoidable
